Head over heels in cycling? Are you a fan of Czech racers and want to sweat a bit on the trainer? Then don't miss the supercharged Group Ride with Mathias Vacek, whose awesome performance at the Peace Race two years ago catapulted him into the WorldTour. Let's step on pedals on Tuesday, April 23rd at 6:00 pm on the ROUVY platform!
Mathias showed up at the 2022 Peace Race just days before his 19th birthday, even donning the yellow jersey after his triumph in the prologue. He ended up finishing third overall, but won the white jersey for the best junior in the peloton.
Currently, he can boast the title of the reigning champion of the Czech Republic and, above all, he is a member of the elite Lidl - Trek team. In his colours he is gaining valuable experience in the World Tour, for example in early April he completed the most famous spring classic Paris-Roubaix for the second time in his career. More challenges still await him in 2024, and he should most likely be able to take part in this year's Czech Tour in July!
During the Group Ride you can have a virtual chat with Mathias and learn about his career, training, cycling in general and his plans for the future. Traditionally, you will be treated to a part of a stage from the Czech Tour, where the pros also ride.
