The joint Czech and Slovak Road Cycling Championships in 2026 will take place in the region of Jeseníky mountains. The organization of the championship will be handled by the experienced team behind the Czech Tour and the Peace Race U23. This was announced by Robert Kolář, Vice President of the Czech Cycling Federation, who is also the President of both aforementioned races.

"The Jeseníky region is truly a cyclist's paradise. Iconic places like Červenohorské sedlo, Rejvíz, and Dlouhé stráně will allow us to design a course that will thoroughly test the peloton. Moreover, we know that the local people love cycling and will create an amazing atmosphere. And for Slovak fans, this location is excellently accessible," stated Robert Kolář.
The organizing team consists of professionals with experience from both domestic and international events. "I believe we will prepare safe and spectator-friendly races at the highest level," Kolář added.

The hosting of the joint championship traditionally alternates between the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with even years falling to the Czech side. This year's edition was hosted by Bánovce nad Bebravou in Slovakia, where Mathias Vacek dominated the road race, and Kristýna Burlová took the women's title. The Peace Race U23 was held at the turn of May and June in the Moravian-Silesian and Olomouc regions. The Czech Tour kicks off in mid-August, this year for the first time in history from Prague. The ceremonial opening will take place at Hradčany Square.
