The Peace Race – Grand Prix Jeseníky for U23 riders will take place again this year, from 2nd to 5th June. It will again be part of the Nations' Cup category, the premier international stage race in its age category. In the six-race schedule it features alongside, for example, the famous Tour de l´Avenir.
From the UCI rankings, 23 6-member teams are always nominated, and Czech participation is guaranteed. Recently, in 2013, second place was taken by excellent hill-climber Jan Hirt, and last year Mathias Vacek again proved his ability as one of the greatest local cycling talents.
We have prepared a traditional four stages, which will start with a time trial in Jeseník. The cyclists will also be tested by the climb up Dlouhé stráně. We will publish a more detailed schedule at the end of April/beginning of May.
Many of the current cycling stars have competed in past editions of the Peace Race, such as Tour de France winner Tadej Pogačar, Giro d'Italia winner, Tao Geoghegan Hart, two-time world champion Julian Alaphilippe, and Marc Hirschi, who attracted considerable attention in 2020 with a great performance on the Tour.
