The winner of the second stage probably will be decided in the final spurt. 118 kilometres and 1,863 vertical metres is nothing to tear the peloton apart. Rýmařov was also the finish of the second stage last year. The stage has one sprinter's and two climbing premiums, one near the finish.
Start:
Uničov is situated in a place where the plains of Haná rise slowly to the first spurs of Hrubý and Nízký Jeseník. Monarchs envisaged that the town, like Jihlava and Kutná Hora, could become a centre for precious metal mining, but the deposits were not significant and the grand plans never happend.
Finish:
The foothill town on the border of the Low and Rough Jeseník between Bruntál and Šumperk is one of the rainiest places in the Czech Republic. But even that shouldn't stop you from exploring the surrounding nature and some nice places, such as Sovinec Castle or the Praděd Gallery in Jiříkov.
